Devlog #3: New Week New Update


Development Update

This week we ran into a few issues as a group, we have been working through it and have managed to make some great progress, a few members ended up extremely busy this week yet still got tons of work done.

Gameplay

There were some major issues with the player controller where it was getting the location via the physics engine which ended up not working well and it was much more complicated than it needed to be. We got some help from outside to fix this and now the character controller is working perfectly. There just needs to be work done for the gun now to allow the bullets to shoot towards the mouse. 

Inventory

Grace has made incredible progress in the inventory and has finished the core parts of the inventory, this is really exciting to see and we cannot wait to see it completed. Everything is now ready for items and then we can see things being picked up.

Models and Prefabs

Lani has unwrapped the cow and sheep model. It's very exciting to see how these are gonna look in game, we hope that they will look just as scary in game as we find them outside of game. Lani also started working on the kangaroo behaviour and how it's gonna react around the player.

Ben worked on houses and pubs for the environments, it's looking really good, hopefully soon the players will be able to explore these buildings and find goodies and other stuff to help survive the horrors.
