Devlog#9 Interiors and Collison Fixes
Welcome Back to Week 9 of Our Devlog!
General Improvements
This week we focused on ironing out some major issue with collision. Previously the player would phase through objects and invisible walls we had set up. This issue is now fixed! With this taken care of our game is really starting to look good. Along side this we have also implemented a teleportation system that puts the player into interior cells and with that we now have interiors to the houses. We are still looking to add item pickups and loot which will be added to these interiors, rewarding the curious gamer.
With our game being primarily story driven we needed to add some dialog to TrueBlue, and we have now began adding this feature. It is still in its fledging stages so it isn't fully implemented yet, but we're looking forward to adding some dialog and maybe some conversations with other npc's.
3D modelling and Textures
All the models needed for the interiors have finally been made along side their textures too! The interior cells have also been fully constructed so all that's left is textures for the walls and floors. We are also looking to adding some sort of see through bubble that appears when the player gets too close to a wall. This will help with visibility within the interiors and make them feel less cramp.
Inventory
The work on the elusive working inventory continues, but it is mostly complete and should be fully usable soon!
That's all for this week, thanks for reading!
